- Using electronic universal transfer documents (UTDs) where product codes are specified
- Goods code (14 numerical digits)
- An individual serial number of the goods item generated by the system operator or economic agent (13 digits)
- A verification key provided by the system operator (4 digits)
- A verification code provided by the system operator (44 digits)
- Production in the Russian Federation—at production sites or storage locations
- Importing goods into Russia:
— If imported from EAEU countries, codes are applied before crossing the state border of the Russian Federation
— If imported from other countries, codes are applied before customs clearance procedures for release are started - Return of goods by the end consumer, if the digital marking code is lost
- Re-application of marking, if the digital marking code is lost, for instance
- Taking goods on commission from individuals
- Register a personal account
- Enter the information about the goods into the monitoring information system
- Describe the goods in the catalogue of marked goods
- Order the marking codes and apply them to the goods
- An encrypted digital signature (EDS) that may be obtained from a certification centre accredited by the Russian Ministry of Communications and Mass Media
